Its not a good thing
when the fire is named
after your campground.
Its a long story... the group got separated by a sudden
fire near the Slot. Paddling was done but a lot of
driving had to be done the next day to get 18 people
back to their gear at Pigeon Pt. campground before
the 7-8 people left on the upstream end of the fire
abandoned the campground when they saw flames
leaping up from the hillside.
