POST Commissary
Brickyard Cove Marina
Storage Locker # 2 DE
1120 Brickyard Cove Road
Richmond, CA.
The locker has our combination lock on it. Combination lock: 1 8 8 0. The storage locker does not have electricity. A couple of rechargeable work lights are in the shed. They can be recharged in the van while driving to and from a trip. The van also has a couple of flashlights in it.
We have a restroom key (actually a key to the marina) hanging in the locker. These keys cost us $25 each, so do not lose it!
The access gate if closed has a key code to open: 9 3 1 5 7. This code is posted on the dashboard of the van.
Personal vehicles may be left in any available parking space for the duration of a trip.
Trashcans, and dumpsters are available on site.
Traffic: obey posted signs and speed limits.
Dogs must be on leash.
Personal property and vehicles are left on site at the owners risk.
Deposit trash in the available trashcans or dumpsters.
Our storage locker is only 4 x 8. This is about one-third the size of our shed at Surrey Lane. There is room for only one person inside to pull out stuff needed for a trip, and then to put it away at the end. There is no room for extra stuff. Do not add anything to this locker!!
We still have the metal cabinet, and it can keep some of the kitchen supplies, paper supplies, etc. However, no consumables should be left here. You should either take home your leftovers, or give them away to trip participants.
The Kitchen Box (ActionPacker)
Ideally, you will go to the shed in advance of the trip, and pack the kitchen and all related supplies that you need. Do not assume that even the stuff we have listed will be there ready for your use. If going by here in advance is not possible, then ask someone on the trip if they could do that for you. Failing that, then purchase most everything (paper, plastic, seasonings, sugar, etc.) that you want for the trip, get there early, and pack it.
The kitchen box does not have any paper supplies in it, or trash bags. You will need to provide these for your trip. There are no dishtowels use paper towels. If you want a dishtowel, bring it from home and take it home after the trip.
A suggestion for things like salt, pepper and sugar: bring some from your own supplies at home in small bags. Or, purchase a small set of the salt and pepper shakers, and then take them home after the trip. Currently, there is a container for salt, pepper, and sugar in the kitchen box. Unless you check in advance, do not count on it being there.
None of this stuff, including coffee, tea, other spices, soup mixes, cocoa, etc. should be left here. Either purchase or bring from your own supplies what you need for your trip, and then give away or take home leftovers.
If you purchased paper plates, and plastic bags for the trip, take the leftovers home. Do not add to the inventory in the Locker. I recently gave away about 2,000 sandwich bags, and several rolls of plastic wrap that had accumulated in the shed. Also, a variety of paper products that had died have been discarded.
Do not add to the inventory in the Locker.
